First the mushy stuff.
I want to thank you all so much for reading and posting comments on my blog. You guys have been so enthusiastic and helpful, that I might burst from what feels like dozens of hugs, of the really tight-squeezy variety. I started my blog because I wanted to connect to people like you, and I'm amazed that I've found you. Or you found me. However it happened, I'm happy all the same.
I really felt the love when I finished Jemima. That was a milestone for me because until Jemima, I had yet to finish a sweater, even a baby sweater, in less than a year's time. B will also thank you when I finish his sweater. :)
I am also really, really, really thankful for all the well wishes and birthday messages you sent Mom. I'm sad that I couldn't be there to throw her a real live party, but all your "Happy Birthdays" were like throwing her a virtual one. She loved it too.
A very heartfelt Namaste* to all of you.
More Chances to Win Great Stuff
I've been a little tapped out the past few days. While I'm not complaining that I got a chance to spend a day in Paris, it did kinda throw a wrench in the works a bit. I'm just about caught up.
I've been remiss about posting links to all the other great blog contests out there, and I'm very sorry for the ones I failed to promote before they finished. Remember you can't win if you don't enter, so give it a shot. Mkay?
Hurry! The A.D.D. Knitter is giving away yarn and French patterns. Her Charmed Life Contest ends on the 26th, so hurry!
Postcards from the edge. The Irisheyes knitting blog is giving away Koigu in their postcard drawing. Send them a postcard by Labor Day, that's 3 September for those of you not in the U.S., to win.
I'm sure most of you already know about this one, but January One is hosting a logo contest. Dust off your Photoshop skillz to win a $100 gift card from Webs, you know, the massive yarn shop.
Not a contest per se, but Jen at Knitting Interrupted is polling for your opinions about sock pooling.
Unfortunately, I know a missed a few: Becky, Tiennie, Ali, and Jennie I'll get you all next time for sure.
*Namaste is a word you've probably heard in a yoga class. In India, it's used as a greeting and way to say good bye, kind of like "aloha." Namaste means that the divine in me bows to the divine in you.

You know, I hare your sentiment about the greatness of commenters and don't say it enough. Thanks for putting it out there and helping all to remember what a nice community we have.

I'm thrilled to have found you. I love how friendly and supportive the online knittng community is. In a sea of beautiful blogs run by amazing people, it's an extra treat to find blogs like yours which especially resonate with me.
I did first hear Namaste in yoga. But now, because I'm such a geek, when I hear Namaste, I can't help but think of the TV show Lost where it gets used often. Thanks for the reminder of how gracious a word it really is.
