Presently I teach yoga in the Washington, DC area at Pure Prana Yoga Studio in Old Town Alexandria. Pure Prana is one of the most nurturing and caring yoga spaces in our area, and strives to provide healing and transformative yoga experiences for all ages and levels. I also manage the workshops, events and outreach program at Pure Prana.
A lot of people ask me what type of yoga I teach. Because I have an interdisciplinary background, I am being honest when I say that I teach a little bit of everything. My initial teacher training included exposure to Iyengar, Vinyasa, Kundalini, Pre-Natal Yoga, Jivamukti and Anusara among others. I continue to pursue training opportunities with a variety of teachers because I believe that there is no single style of yoga for everyone. In 2007, I completed a week-long training intensive in Ashtanga yoga with Manju Jois. In 2008, I completed my 500hr teacher certification with the Nosara Yoga Institute. I am also a certified Pranassage® Practitioner.
If you're in the area and would like to take one of my classes, check my calendar. It updates automatically to reflect my regularly-scheduled classes as well as those times when I fill in for other teachers. Unless otherwise specified, all classes are at Pure Prana.
